Vitamin C has been known to keep the immune system functioning optimally. During intense exercise, oxygen is used up, resulting in oxidative damage, caused by free radicals. This oxidative damage may interfere with the cell’s ability to function normally. Known for its antioxidant properties, Vitamin C helps to reverse some of this damage, and may help to prevent the dip in immune function that may occur right after exercise. It may also assist in decreasing recovery time between workouts. Additional ingredients include Bilberry, Elderberry, Cat’s claw and Echinacea.
